After projected 3.5 hours, we’re in Miami. It turns out that while we were driving some huge blackout happened from Miami to Jacksonville. Daniel has called my cell phone to tell me about this (so thanks to him, we were prepared: I filled the car with full tank of gas and got some cash from the ATM machine just in case). Fortunately, by the time we arrived to the hotel, everything was restored. But anyway, I think that it’s better to be prepared for the worst than beg for luck ;)

The hotel itself is very nice, we got an ocean view suite which looks very cool! We’re shooting photos and videos so you’ll see it soon. For now, we’re planning to have a dinner and then go to hang out at South Beach.

So, another day is almost over. We woke up around 9 am and ate breakfast. I looked up Disney World’s address in Google Maps and we were ready to go. First of all, we went to the car wash because I wanted to clean all salt from the car. The wash itself was fun because it was an automated facility: for some reason me and Darya love to sit in the car and watch the process :)

Finding Disneyland was easy. We live very close to all parks so it took no more than 10-15 minutes to get there. And as Daniel told me before — traveling in US is a pure pleasure: signs are everywhere so it’s hard to get lost and everything is made for people’s convenience, really. The scale of the park is amazing! I think that it’s more correct to call Disneyland a town with it’s own infrastructure — there are highways, hotels, huge parking lots and stuff like that.

Parking cost us $11 for all day. We thought it would be more than that. The parking lot itself is humongous! Oh yeah, have I mentioned that Darya was all fired up when she saw us approaching to the park? She almost went nuts and I didn’t know how to calm her down :-D No, that’s not true, just kidding. But she was excited, she really was! And I loved looking at her at that moment. She just turned into the kid: emotions and mimics were so natural :) Another dream came true…

We proceeded to the counter to buy the tickets. Tickets were around $150 for 1 day. Unfortunately, I wasn’t smart enough to buy multi-parks tickets so we could visit several parks in one day. We assumed that we could with our tickets, but that wasn’t the case…

Most of Attractions were awesome! I especially loved «Soaring», «Honey, I shrunk the audience» and «Test Track». At some point I became a little bored, especially when we took the boat ride. I wanted more action all the time (some roller coasters, eh?). But I’m glad that we stayed until closing because the fireworks show was spectacular!

I’m going to edit and upload another video, so stay tuned, folks!

Our thrilling trip to Florida begins today. There are so many places we want to visit and so many things we want to see. I’m sure, that the trip will be amazing! :)

It’s finally a real winter in Connecticut today with snow and frost; but the soul requires summer and warmth.

So, the main thing here is that we’re going to Florida by car!!! Yeah, maybe this sounds a little bit crazy,  but this is what we are about :)

The most exciting thing about this trip for me is that we’re going to Disneyland!!! Yahoooooo!!! This is my dream and pretty soon it will come true!!

So, let the adventures begin! :-D

Just as much as I’m excited about this new blog, I’m excited about going on vacation.

Well, first of all it was always my dream to go to some tropical paradise. And given the fact that it was snowing all day long today and I’m trembling with cold, the most logical place to make the trip to is of course Florida! :-D

Speaking about dreams… Darya was also dreaming to go to Disneyland. Well, I’m convinced that dreams have to come true and it’s so cool that it works for both of us at the same time!

Oh yeah, I didn’t mention that we decided to travel by car (I know some of you will say that we’re crazy. Yes, we ARE! :) I’m a big traveler so I always wanted to travel across the states by car.

I’m a little worried about the trip because the distance to Orlando is about 1200 miles from the place where we live and I’ve never driven that far before! But I really hope that my altima will be a good baby and will take us safely to the first point of our trip — Orlando, FL.

We’re also planning to spend some time in Miami (south beach area) and Key West. I really hope that the water will be warm so I can swim a little bit with white sharks :)

Anyways, we’ll keep you updated about what’s going on. It’s about time to leave, so I’m going to review my checklist of things before the trip… And we’re ready to take off!

p.s. If we successfully make it to Florida, we’re pretty much going to cover all the East Coast (we’ve been skiing in Vermont one week ago). Doesn’t it sound awesome!?
